A UNITED EUROPE— I have been visiting Brussels with the Swedish conservative and liberal Student Association, “Fria Moderata Studentförundet”. We visited and talked to politicians, leaders, and lobbyists. What we saw was a Europe amid crises. Unfortunately, for an increasing number of countries, nationalism, populism and protectionism have become their solutions to many challenges they are now facing. However, they are not the right solutions. What we really should do in this troubled time is to reflect with reason over the past and upon the future, and think of what we want cooperation to look like in the future. I believe the power of free trade, market economy and liberal values shall prevail and get Europe back on its feet. Thank you for joining the Confederation. Our voice for freedom is important.
